MacBook has always standout when it comes to laptop, even with the restricted usage and the overwhelming price, they still hold a large portion of the laptop and PC market. In Malaysia, there are many authorised Apple Stores that provide the latest MacBooks. Why even with the sky high price, many people still go for MacBook?
As a MacBook user myself I can’t lie to say that it is a bad laptop. This is indeed a great laptop when it comes to built quality, size, performance, just from the feel of touch when you hold onto it, it gives out a very amazing feeling of ownership. All MacBooks look the same unlike other laptops that have different designs and built quality. MacBook owners do not mind having the same looking or even the same laptop with other users merely because of how well branded this laptop is. I would say it is like the loro piano of laptops. It is not only elegant, it is practical and also comfortable to use.
With that said, lets dive into the history of MacBook. It all started from Steve Jobs almighty PowerBook the predecessor to MacBook with the idea and the vision to include a trackpad, built-in microphone, ethernet and stereo speakers it sets its journey and went on to be the greatest laptop. During the year 2006, The first ever MacBook was released, it was non other than the MacBook Pro a laptop that many are carrying today. Just from the legacy of its predecessor and the success of its successor we can understand that the MacBook is actually rich in history. Every model of MacBook is made to improve life, with an aim and a vision.
The most valuable part of the MacBook other than its built its the operating system. This operating system is what most desire, user-friendly, good-looking and sleek user system has attracted many attention. Having to be able to be part of the apple ecosystem is indeed a great opportunity, everything just flow so smoothly.
SME owners often do not have enough budget when it comes to equipments and accessories. However, they always look for quality and efficiency. As budget is an option they always aim to make all their employees to output their full potential and with that said, the MacBook is one that allow one to operate smoothly without the fear of getting a virus while working. I am aware that whatever a MacBook can do, a normal PC and Laptop can do too. But just the fact that I’ve used both laptops before, I would say the psychology plays a huge factor when it comes to working attitude and efficiency. Using the MacBook only has me motivated to work harder and more efficient. I say this while typing using a MacBook.
In conclusion, MacBook is not everybody go to options as compute is very personal. However, from my interviews and research I’ve found out many SME are leading toward using MacBook just because it connects with the whole company ergo system and file system smoothly.
